“Bribe” is a term that many Thai people are familiar with. Sex work is one of the occupations that many know is closely tied to corruption involving state officials. It is well-known that, in one way or another, sex workers are required to pay bribes to officers and influential individuals in order for their work to continue. How is the existence of sex workers connected to everyone?

This article reflects the perspectives and thoughts of sex workers through interviews, emphasizing the definition of “corruption” from how they view it.
