การต่อบัตรแรงงาน (บัตรชมพู) กระบวนสำคัญที่เป็นตัวกำหนดให้แรงงานเหล่านี้มีสถานะที่ “ถูกกฎหมาย” ลดระดับการตีตราว่าเป็นผู้เห็นแก่ตัวและกระทำการผิดกฎหมาย แต่การมีสถานะแรงงานถูกกฎหมายยังคงไม่สามารถทำให้รอดพ้นจากการเอาเปรียบและอำนาจในการทุจริต

Article Migrant Workers “Powerless, Stateless and Exploited under a Corrupted Migration System in Thailand”

It is undeniable that Thai society has a long history of migrant workers from Myanmar. While migration from Myanmar may appear to be solely driven by the need to support livelihoods, it is intricately connected to various social statuses and power dynamics.

Migrant Worker Cards (Pink Card) is a crucial process that grants their workers a “legal” status, reducing the stigma of being seen as selfish or involved in illegal practices and activities. However, having a legal status still can not truly protect them from exploitation and being extorted under a corruption system.  

The definition of corruption among migrant workers is explored through an article that seeks to understand the situation of migrant workers and how they define corruption, from the perspective of a group that exists as a significant portion of Thai society but has not been well understood by the general public.
